I was born in the quaint city of Port Antonio, on the island of Jamaica of East Indian and African parentage. I lived there for nine years before making a dash across the Caribbean Sea to historic London, England. After living in London for a short while, I partied in sunny Miami, Florida before settling in the Bay Area.

The choice to pursue acting as an outlet did not come easy. I started in Jamaica during the fourth grade as a member of the drama club, but like so many of us, I denied my passion for almost twenty years. I studied West African Dance for two years during my high school years, which momentarily satisfied me. After I graduated, I found myself doing the standard at the time, going to college to study business. Needless to say, that didn’t last too long. After numerous agitated nights, questions, some friendly advice and encouragement, I began studying at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. It was at that time I got re-aqcuainted with myself.

Living in a wealth of cultures has had a profound influence on my interests. I am in love with movies, music, literature, various forms of dance, photography, fashion, architecture, good food, and the list goes on. I am also captivated with people, history, and their stories. Acting allows me to embrace it all. I get to slip into someone else's clothes and shoes, entering their world and situations that I wouldn’t experience in my daily life.

The actors I am in awe of boasts expertise I hope to someday encompass. From Sidney Poitier and Morgan Freeman's grace, to Sean Penn and Djimon Hounsou's ability to portray a character's past, present, and future. I am also intrigued with the many masks of Johnny Depp, Jeffrey Wright and Benicio Del Toro. My objective is to have a body of work both in front and behind the camera using the world as my archive and the imagination as my tool.
